Aamodt Companies is committed to doing its part in helping to achieve responsible forest management in all aspects of the manufacturing process. We recognize the challenges of protecting and conserving our natural hardwood resources. We start by ensuring that the lumber we purchase meets our specifications and originates from managed forests. With every board that is processed, we are continuously striving to get the most usable lumber. In our plant we have computerized optimization equipment to ensure the best possible yields for our raw materials while conserving one of our greatest resources, our hardwood forests. With our cabinetry, by eliminating the un-necessary hardwood of old style face frame cabinets, we are promoting the sustainability of our natural resources for future generations.
Waste products that we generate are used or recycled for various reasons:
Our wood waste generated from our equipment is used for heating fuel
Our sawdust is used by area farmers for use as animal bedding.
Aamodt Companies is proud that every material purchased goes to productive use.
Giving Back to the Community:
A project that we are extremely proud of is the donation we made to The Ruth House, a women’s shelter located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin owned and operated by The Hope Gospel Mission (HGM).
The Ruth House provides shelter for homeless single women who are not eligible for publicly funded assistance. Their mission is the advancement of growth and learning, adoption of Christian principles and acceptance of responsibility for one’s own life.
We, along with other local businesses donated over $150,000 in goods and services to the cause. Our donation included the design, construction and installation of cabinetry for the kitchen and laundry room.

Recently, a donation of an 8’ wide x 6’ tall tile mural of the Starry Night was given to Surreia’s Place in Hudson, Wisconsin. Surreia’s Place is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2003 to serve families affected by autism and other special needs.
Founders of Surreia’s Place, Inc, Eric and Donna Bennett found themselves with little hope and no direction after their daughter, Surreia, was diagnosed with Autism at the age of four. Their drive to identify and access information and interventions that would enrich both Surreia’s life and the lives of each member of their family soon evolved into a passion to share this information with other families affected by special needs. This passion has propelled them into advocating for families throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.
The Starry Night is one of Surreia’s favorite paintings. The mural hangs on the wall above the fire place and we are so happy that Surreia and the many other family’s affected by autism will be able to enjoy the mural for many years to come.
