Inspired by the rural surroundings and abundance of birds near her home in the St. Croix Valley of Minnesota, Frances attempts to capture the beauty and intricate details found in nature. Originally trained and currently working as a graphic designer, her continuing classes at the Atelier Studio Program of Fine Arts in Minneapolis has developed her skills in the Classical Realism method of drawing and painting.  Her watercolors are painted with a small brush, very little water and many layers.
